Saturday 30th September - Selasi Gbormittah
Ghanaian Selasi comes from a culture where food plays a huge part in the community and as a child he enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with his family who taught him the basics of cooking and baking. They never worried too much if he disappeared for a bit as they always knew he would be found in the kitchen buried in a pot with ingredients all over the place!
Based in London for the last 16 years, his love of cooking continues to be a theme in his life – he regularly hosts friends and family and is a self professed feeder. For him as for so many others, food and food preparation is a medium for bringing people together.
The Great British Bake Off 2016 has introduced this charming laid back, banking, biking, baker to the Great British Public and to new friends. The journey starts here.
Sunday 1st October - Matt Tebbutt
Matt's first solo cookbook, featured all his favourite recipes, Matt Tebbutt Cooks Country, is still available as is his second book 'Guilty Pleasures'.
Matt's has guest presented Saturday Kitchen on BBC One, and co-hosted Market Kitchen: Big Adventure alongside. He has also been a contributor to Saturday Kitchen and appeared on the Great British Menu.
Matt is currently filming Lost and Starving, a brand new series for Discovery. He is also presenting Food Unwrapped on Channel 4 and is once again championing forgotten foods on Great British Food Revival on BBC2. He is the co-host on the Food Network, "The Big Eat" and "Kitchen Superheroes". Matt co-presented Market Kitchen with Tom Parker-Bowles and Matthew Fort.
Sunday 1st October - Cherish Finden
Cherish Finden is a multi-award winning Pastry Chef. With over 20 years of international experience, Cherish has created innovative and imaginative menus all over the world, including her most recent role as Executive Pastry Chef at The Langham Hotel, London. During her time at the Langham, they earned the prestigious Tea Guild’s ‘Top London Afternoon Tea’ award (2010) and ‘Service of Excellence’ for three consecutive years. Cherish was also awarded ‘Pastry Chef of the Year’ by the Craft Guild of Chefs in 2012 and in 2015 received the Macalcan Life Time Achievement.
