The Great Food and Drink Festivals will be doing more events than ever before in 2016, opening up in a couple of new locations and having extra special guest chefs doing demos at all the events.
Prestwold Hall - April 30th – May 2nd
The Great Food and Drink Festival will make its first appearance at the stunning location of Prestwold Hall on the 30th April - 2nd May. The line-up of celebrity chefs is fantastic with Italian Aldo Zilli, Frenchman Jean-Christophe Novelli and our very own Marcus Bean. These chefs are set to light up the stage and show you their culinary genius ability.
Nottingham Castle – May 28th – 30th
Nottingham Castle will host The Great Food and Drink Festival for the second year running. Over 10,000 people attended its first year, which was a great success. This years line-up is rather special too. Tom Kerridge, who only does four shows a year has chosen this event to be one of them! Kerridge will be joined by MasterChef judge, Gregg Wallace and TV chef and personality Rustie Lee. You definitely not want to miss her infectious laugh!
Newstead Abbey – August 27th – 29th
The Great Food and Drink Festival at Newstead Abbey will also be in its second year just like Nottingham Castle. With, once again, over 10,000 people attending the first year of the event. The beautiful backdrop will give chef Brian Turner the chance to show off his array of culinary talents. There will also be cooking demonstrations from the wonderful Michael Caines and Great British Bake-off 2014 winner Nancy Birtwhistle.
Calke Abbey – 3rd – 4th September
Calke Abbey will join The Great Food and Drink Festival circuit, with the event playing host at the abbey for the first time in 2016. Great British Bake-off judge, Paul Hollywood, will be one of the three celebrity chefs that we have. The Liverpool-man, who has become somewhat of a National treasure since becoming a judge on GBBO since 2010, will be accompanied by 'Sunday Brunch' host Simon Rimmer and Dean Edwards of ITV, who put on a fantastic show at our Newstead Abbey event in 2015.
