It is only a matter of days until The Great Food and Drink Festival at Newstead Abbey, which is sponsored by West Notts College, NET Trams, Air-IT, East Midlands Trains and The Chad, opens its gates to the public and welcomes them with a swarm of hot food, cold food and craft stands, along with celebrity chefs and lots for everyone, including the kids, to get involved with.

Over the August Bank Holiday, 29th-31st, you’ll be able to enjoy all that the festival has to offer. With celebrity chefs such as Dean Edwards and Marcus Bean, who are both regulars on ITV, Sean Wilson, who played Martin Platt on the cobbles of Coronation Street for 21 years and two Great British Bake-off stars, Chetna Makan and Jordan Cox, all doing a range of cooking demos.

With up to 100 stalls selling a variety of foods such as hog roasts, burgers, nachos, jewellery and lots more will be spread over the beautiful grounds of Newstead Abbey. With this there will also be a range of activities for the youngster, from Punch and Judy shows to a Bongo Bongo soft play area and a lot more!

There will be seated bar areas, real ale bars and an array of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on offer, for the adults to try out. With live music, as you drink in the sunshine, from some of Nottinghamshire’s best and upcoming talent provided by I’m Not From London, is there anything better?

So make sure you come along for The Great Food and Drink Festival at Newstead Abbey over the August Bank Holiday to try all types of different, but delicious, food and drink and maybe some crafts and garden furniture too!
