Local Restaurant, Harts, are delighted to have their head chef, Daniel Burridge, taking part in this year’s Great Food and Drink Festival at Nottingham Castle. Chef Daniel will be taking to the stage on the same day as none other than ‘Britain’s Best French Chef’ Jean Christophe Novelli on Sunday 28th May.

Chef Daniel Burridge lays claim to a unique culinary style which draws on a melting pot of influences – these include his German-born mother, whom Daniel credits for educating him in the art of cookery and introducing him to restaurants that inspired him even a youngster.

April Fawcett, Marketing Manager at Harts commented

“As one of the leading restaurants in Nottingham we are delighted that our Head Chef Daniel Burridge will be appearing at the Nottingham Great Food and Drink Festival in 2017!

“The event caters for the whole family and offers everything you would expect from a food and drink festival.

“The beautiful location of Nottingham Castle is just a short walk from Hart’s and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nottinghamshire.”

Trained at Worcester College of Technology, this culinary whizz kid landed his first job at Colwall Park Hotel where he honed his appreciation for fine food.  Soon enough Daniel reached the position of Head Chef in the prestigious Hart’s kitchen – which naturally he cites as a career highlight.  During his time, Daniel has worked alongside a brigade of brilliant chefs, such as Hambleton Hall’s Michelin-starred Aaron Patterson, and put his skills as a trained pastry chef to fine use.

Hart’s Hotel opened in 2003 and is a contemporary, privately owned boutique hotel with 30 rooms and two suites. It is situated in a quiet location 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre with breath-taking views and a secluded resident’s garden.  The Hotel’s Park Bar serves quality wines and Champagne by the glass, as well as interesting bottled beers, cocktails, whiskies and cigars. The Bar provides a comfortable seating area for our residents to meet friends or clients, or simply to relax.

Over the Bank Holiday Weekend at Nottingham Castle, you’ll be able to see other top named chefs such as Antonio Carluccio and Adam Simmonds. There will be a large variety of great food and drink you can try on the day and take home with you from our superb food vendors and producers. Not only that, but you can listen to some great local music over the three days as well as having a drink from one of the many bars that will be on site too.
