The Great Food and Drink Festival are delighted to announce that global market leading brand, Cirio, are the official headline sponsors for their Nottingham Castle event, which takes place over the May Bank Holiday (27th-29th).

The Italian company, who are primarily known for their tomato based products, produce a staggering 650,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables a year thanks to their 14,500 associated farmers. Continuing to grow on a global scale, Cirio have now attained 11% of the tinned tomato market through the UK.

The excellence of Cirio's products comes from the exceptional quality of the 100% Italian raw produce and the extreme care they take throughout the growing, picking, processing and packaging process.

Their products are “Tracked from Seed to Fork” with a vigorous Quality Assurance System that monitors each stage from growing the vegetables right through to the packing process, ensuring that the end-products are up to their own high standards.

The Great Food and Drink Festival at Nottingham Castle sticks with the Italian theme, as the Godfather of Italian Gastronomy, Antonio Carluccio takes to the kitchen demonstration theatre on Saturday 27th May. Carluccio, who has been a Cirio brand ambassador for the last two years, will be doing three cooking demonstrations for fans at the festival.

Jean-Christophe Novelli, the nation’s best French Chef, and Adam Simmonds, winner of The Great British Menu will also be at the festival over the weekend on the Sunday and Monday respectively.
