We are delighted to announce that Amardeep Singh Anand will be doing a cooking demonstration at The Great Food and Drink Festival at Prestwold Hall on Saturday 30th April at Midday!
Amardeep, who is currently head chef of fine dining Indian restaurant Lilu, is a previous quarter finalist on ‘MasterChef: The Professionals’ and winner of the esteemed Asian Chef of the Year title in 2012.
Lilu is fulfilling a dream to bring the best of British and Indian cuisine to the culturally diverse city of Leicester. Pratik Master (Managing Director) and Chef Amardeep Singh Anand have really created a market place that didn't exist. Lilu is an Indian Fine Dining restaurant with a British-Indian fusion menu where you will find such culinary delights as Ostrich, Seabass and Venison.
The restaurant is fast becoming a local hot spot for foodies looking for an altogether different take on Indian cuisine and with an Award winning Chef like Amardeep, they are really achieving something special. Amardeep won the coveted Asian Chef of the Year title in 2012, that year he also won the award for innovation in food.
Cooking is Amardeep's life, he uses only the very finest ingredients creating a blend of subtle flavour combinations that really tantalize the tastebuds. He also received the Asian Chef of the Year Healthy Heart Award in 2010 due his his minimal use of oils and fats whilst cooking.
To Amardeep, presentation is as important as the taste. As he says 'First, you eat with your eyes'. Some dishes look so good that you won't want to eat them, we are sure you will though!
