Saturday 27th May - Antonio Carluccio.

11am / 1pm / 3pm

We are delighted to announce that we have secured the wonderful Antonio Carluccio for our first event of 2017!

Antonio will be appearing at our Nottingham Castle event in May on Saturday 27th. Known as the Godfather of Italian Gastronomy, Carluccio has a career stretching back 50 years and he was one of 'The Two Greedy Italians' alongside Gennaro Contaldo.

Saturday 27th May - Danny Holloway - The Butchers Bar & Steakhouse


Although Danny is a proud Southerner at heart, he is no stranger to the East Midlands and Nottingham in-particular having worked for some of the city’s most highly regarded kitchens including Harts most recently and The Lace Market Hotel also.

Every step of Danny’s career has influenced the menus he creates today at The Butchers Bar & Steakhouse. His style is a hybrid of hard earned experience and it’s still evolving with every experimental dish he cooks, hones and eventually plates.

Sunday 28th May - Jean-Christophe Novelli.

11am / 1pm / 3pm

Jean-Christophe Novelli, who has been dubbed 'The Nations Best French Chef', will be at Nottingham Castle on Sunday 28th May 2017.

He will be performing three cooking demonstrations throughout the day, so make sure you are there to learn all about his way of cooking!

Sunday 28th May - Daniel Burridge - Harts Hotel

As one of the leading restaurants in Nottingham we are delighted that our Head Chef Daniel Burridge will be appearing at the Nottingham Great Food and Drink Festival in 2017! 
The event caters for the whole family and offers everything you would expect from a food and drink festival.

The beautiful location of Nottingham Castle is just a short walk from Hart’s and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nottinghamshire.

Sunday 28th May - Nick Antoniades - Brewhouse and Kitchen


Long-time home brewer, Nick decided to make of his passion his career and completed his brewing diploma in 2015.

When it comes to making beers, Nick likes to push the boundaries, he is inventive and creative with the flavours he chooses to use. His latest projects are attempting to create a 0 IBU beer and working closely with the head chef of his pub. Nick will be creating beers that can be paired with the chefs specials.

Brewhouse & Kitchen will be opening on Trent Bridge in June 2017, a brewpub who specialises in brewing craft beer onsite in a micro-brewery, they will serve 50+ different craft beers and ciders and their entire food menu will be beer matched to different styles of beer.  

Brewhouse & Kitchen will also host Beer Masterclasses and Brewery Experience Days –providing you with a chance to spend the day brewing beer with their brewer!

Monday 29th May - Adam Simmonds

12 midday / 2pm

Described as "a chef to watch this decade" by the Good Food Guide, Adam Simmonds is a chef worth watching!

In 2013 & 2014, Adam was invited to appear on The Great British Menu. In 2014, he made it all the way to the final with his Ration Pack Starter, being used at the D-Day veterans banquet at St. Pauls Cathedral.

Monday 29th May - Annie Spaziano - Annie's Burger Shack


Born and raised in Rhode Island USA, Annie grew up where the first diners and burgers in America began.

She has lived in Nottingham for the last 24 years and having an equal love and appreciation for Real Ale developed a local popularity and attracted famous faces such as Johnny Vegas, Vicky McClure and Jay Rayner who even reigned a burger from Annies.  

Just recently she attended the National Burger Awards in Islington London 2017 and appeared on the Boxing Day Sunday Brunch Programme 2015 for the BBC.

Monday 29th May - Johnny Pusztai


Johnny Pusztai, Nottinghams famous butcher, was born into a family with a great respect and love for food. Coming to the UK from Hungary in 1956, a country where every day was a struggle just to get a loaf of bread, Mr Pusztai Senior was astounded by the abundance of fresh locally sourced produce.

Monday 29th May - Des Sweeney - The Kitchen


Former chef to The Queen, Des Sweeney, will be at Nottingham Castle at 3pm on Monday

Nottingham Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nottinghamshire and we are delighted to be hosting our third Great Food and Drink Festival at this beautiful location.

We are delighted to announce that we have secured the wonderful Antonio Carluccio for our first event of 2017!

Jean-Christophe Novelli will also be appearing at this years Great Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 28th May and Great British Menu winner, Adam Simmonds will be on stage on Monday 29th.

Local chef Daniel Burridge, of Harts, will also be appearing on stage doing a cooking demonstration on Sunday 28th.

We have a great variety of bars for you on offer at the event. A double decker bus bar will provide you with a range of drinks and great seating at the top of the bus. Greene King will also be attending providing a real ale bar. We also have a prosecco bar and a spirit and cider bar provided by Coolest Drink Bar!

Up to 100 stands selling hot food, cold food, crafts and more.

A large range high quality  hand made crafts and gifts    

Entertainment for all the family everyday with live music in the band stand right till 10 am to 5 pm for all three days!

Children's entertainment from the world famous Punch and Judy and the very popular Bongo Bongo
